Do you think technology is making people lazy and killing all creativity?
These days people are so used to everything being so easy and accessible online or playing video games that they expect things like being better at sports/music/life to be as easy as a google search. so when it comes time to needing to put hard work in and really physically earn something, they can’t push themselves to that point of failure and then past it in order to finally succeed, because it didn’t happen easily. and with middle/upper class families and adults, more than likely they will be adding more of this technology to their lives. and instead of using a map or remembering how to get somewhere, they turn on their gps to get to the damn grocery store. and increasingly with the parents utilizing the new technologies, they now can use tv/video games/kiddie dvds as baby sitters and condition their kids to the same bullshit.
There was this guy on the radio a while back who wrote a book titled ” The Dumbest Generation.” I didn’t read his book, but he spoke about what he’d written and was saying that most of the people who were born after 1979 are very dumb. That technology ( the technology that was supposed to make them smarter ) had actually made them dumber. He argued with young people in the military who’re fighting in Iraq. These young people think that they are fighting for democracy, the red, white & blue, which would indicate that they know something about the first Ten Amendments.But then how many of them would actually know anything about the first Ten Amendments of the Bill Of Rights, the Constitution?
I personally think that the people who live in the western civilization ( America & Western Europe ) are devolving.
