Kids Online Baseball Games

How long do you think until I become head coach?
I know this is not a question that could be answered online, however, I am just looking for some words of encouragement and wisdom possibly from someone who was in my same situation. This is my first “official season as an assistant high school baseball coach. I am very excited and have already made a positive impression with the kids and the head coach considering my background and understanding of the game. What I have noticed in the past couple of years since I have become involved in coaching is that there are quite a few head coaches out there that, in my opinion, do not have the credentials and/or coaching ability to be in their positions. It is very obvious when you A. look at their win/loss record (for however many seasons they have been coaching and B. See them in action at practice and in game situations. So, how many seasons do you feel is necessary to “pay my dues” until I can become the skipper of my own ball club? Thanks for any positive feedback…

I do not coach the Basketball team at my school but I do coach the Football team. In the school district that I teach in, every coach must be a teacher and every male teacher must coach (this can be anything; football, basketball, debate team, chess team, anything.) But anyway, to answer you question:
I lucked up with my coaching job. My first year of teaching I got the job as Assistant Head Coach of the Football team, and the very next year (after the head coach retired) I became the head coach.
