escape from my own life?
I am a teenage boy and I have problems with my family. Not that they are not loving or that they are mean ( I do know i have it better than some or most kids) just they are constantly wondering what i am up to, who I am with, ect. whenever I speak to my parents or my sister i feel my insides clench up because regardless of what topic is brought up, I know i am in store for a long, draw out response. I use an online video game ( World of Warcraft) which I play fairly often, but not obsessively, with friends of mine that are in other states and i would not otherwise have contact with.
A lot of background i know. I was just wondering if anyone thinks that my playing a video game as an escape is something worth trying to “fix”, as my mom wans to do, or if it poses any problem at all. really any thoughts on a middle ground or permanent solution would be deeply appreciated.
