Kids Online Encyclopedias

Do kids just not use encyclopedias anymore? Its kind of sad how the internet has taken over everything.?
My nephew was over last night and he is 11. He was doing homework and asked me about the people involved in the Kennedy assassination. I told him to go grab the K encyclopedia, and he looked at me as if I was speaking greek. I told him it was a book with information on many different historical events, and he said “I don’t wanna look in a book, just let me get on your computer” Sign of the times I guess. I want my son to know what it is and how to use an encyclopedia. Do they not use them in school anymore? I understand the internet is just as useful, but do they not teach kids how to look things up anymore? He opened the book and couldn’t figure out how to find Kennedy, yet he can get online, and reprogram my computer for me, lol.
Well just think of all the trees that are being saved thanks to the internet! LOL
EDIT: Gosh no one can take a joke anymore
