Citizen Journalism in India to Give your Voice a New Height
A huge number of video sharing sites have been emerged from the last 2 years like youtube, google video, myspace video and many others. They have well succeeded in making online communities where people can share videos of their interest to their friends. Here people submit their own video, sometimes their surrounding events and also videos of some special occasions to share with other people. People also submit funny videos, videos of birthday parties, dance parties, clips of sports events, movie songs and promos etc. Many business firms are also using such sites to boost their website traffic or to make people aware of their products and services.
In this article we will discuss a new approach of using such video sharing sites. Every day there are various events occurred in our daily life and we usually make them unnoticed but they demands a special attention. Some of them are like traffic violation, child labor, poor education system, early age marriages, school buses overcrowded with the kids and lot more. We must make these videos publish on the web so that people become aware of such incidents and can take an action to restrict such social iniquities. It is given a term – citizen journalism. Now more and more people are using internet everyday in India so it is not a very tough project. It just requires an initiation. I have seen very few of the sites making such efforts. So let join hands in hands and participate in such social activities to make our nation crime free.
