Parent of newly vegetarian kidnergartner, please help?
My 5 year old has been vegetarian for about 2 months now. We live in an area where there aren’t many vegetarian families, so he doesnt know any other vegetarian kids. Is there anyplace online where he can learn more about vegetarianism (about the animals etc) and play games or what can I do, we live in NYC is there any type of organization for vegetarian kids? For now all he says is that its “meanie” to kill & eat animals and that its “gross” to eat “dead animals”.
I have a young sister who recently became a vegetarian and one of the best resources I have found is www.petakids.com. Your son might like the games and the free anti-animal cruelty stuff they have to offer.

Good luck! That’s a tough situation. Perhaps you could also put out a posting on craigslist looking for fellow parents of young vegetarians – you and your children could get together and make fun crafts and vegetarian snacks!
