Kids Online Maths Test

this is a G.E.D. are the online test they offer from many online classes and programs legit?
OK I am 40 and my kids have gotten big enough now so that I can think of something else to do, I would like to take a class or something to improve my writing skills. But I guess I need a G.E.D. I love writing for children. My question is when it comes to the GED test, can I count on the test I can take on line? for example PENN FOSTER offers to give you the test on line. Does it count as a real GED diploma once I pass the test? I am not too good at math is always kept me from getting my diploma, I don’t know if I have a learning disability or something but when it comes to math it, I really have tried and I can not get it, I know my basic math some fractions and my very worst is word math problems that is why I am looking for something, easy to do, sense the only thing I want to take is a class on creative writing or maybe something even easier than that..
